Add Some Butter and Oil to Your Morning Coffee

Most of us start our day off with coffee.  We need that boost of caffeine every morning to wake us up.  Some of us accompany that with some eggs and healthy options, others with the standard bagel with cream cheese (I was guilty of this for years).  Others skip breakfast and just stick with coffee with cream and sugar.  This normally leads to a pretty hardcore crash.  

There’s something different you could be doing every morning to give your body an incredible boost of energy and mental focus.  Add fat and oil to your coffee.  Sounds crazy, I know.  Instead of cream (fat) and sugar, adding grass-fed butter and MCT or Coconut Oil has incredible health benefits.

I read about all this hoopla and decided to give it a try myself.  I checked out bulletproof to see how it all worked.  Bulletproof is the way this information became wide spread and public.  Instead of ordering my normal large cold brew from the local coffee shop I set out to make my own bullet proof coffee at home.  I brewed a cup of organic beans and plopped a dollop of grass-fed butter and tablespoon of Coconut Oil in and stirred it up wondering what I was getting myself into.  

The first sip was surprisingly delicious.  I sipped quickly waiting for the magic to happen.  Before I knew it I was running lazored in on focus.  I realized I had already finished sorting photos I had been putting off for weeks.  Next, I was going through my morning workout routine with ease and gusto.  I think these bulletproof guys are on to something.
